Obituary of Robert R Winward
Robert R. Winward age 83, of Vineland, NJ passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023. A celebration of his life will be held on February 10th at 11:00 a.m. with a calling time from 10:15 to 11:00 am at Ingersoll-Greenwood Funeral Home 1201 Central Avenue North Wildwood, NJ 08260. Bob was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from Lincoln High School, and earned an Associate Business Degree from Penn State Ogontz, Philadelphia. He served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed at Lakehurst Naval Air Station. Bob had a successful career selling Kodak printing equipment before he transitioned and became a public insurance adjuster. He eventually started Windward Adjustment Associates where he assisted many in the South Jersey Community including after Hurricane Sandy in 2012. Nicknamed Windy, Bob had a true passion for the game of golf and was a member of the Wildwood Golf & Country Club for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his son, David and his grandsons Dave and Riley attending Eagles games at the Linc. He always had an everlasting sense of humor and a joke to share with everyone he met. He is survived by his daughters Carol (Michael) Cassidy of Annapolis, MD and Lynda (Douglas) Sullivan of Valencia, CA. He was a loving grandfather to David and Riley Winward, Brennan, Madison, Peyton, Brielle Cassidy & Sydney Sullivan. He is survived by his siblings Herbert Winward of Federal Way, WA and Nancy Jane Giammarco of Warminster, PA. He was predeceased by his parents Herbert and Marion, his wives Edna (Thomas) and Kristine (Laknes) and his two children David and Karen.
