Obituary of Gerald P. Worley
Gerald P. “Jerry” Worley, age 77, of Wildwood, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 1, 2023. Affectionately known as Coach he was born February 12, 1946 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Walton and Margaret (nee Piper) Worley.
After graduating from West Catholic High School, Jerry enrolled into the Steamfitter Apprenticeship and was an active member in UA Local 420 for 57 years. He is a former President and coach of the Rose Tree Colts Youth Football, winning three Bert Bell Championships. Upon his retirement Jerry and his wife Ann Marie moved to Wildwood, NJ. He enjoyed Boating, Fishing, Socializing and telling stories about growing up in Philadelphia, working as a steamfitter and his children.
Beloved husband to Ann Marie (nee Wilson) Worley for 58 years. Proud father of Gerald Jr (Christine), Michael, Christopher and Ryan. Cherished “Poppy” to his grandchildren, Gerald III, Maya, Shane, Chase and Cole. Jerry is predeceased by his sisters Delores and Margaret, his brother Francis (Buzzy) and grandson Michael Francis.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Saturday, April 29, 2023, 10:30am-11:30am at the Ingersoll-Greenwood Funeral home, 1201 Central Avenue, North Wildwood, NJ 08260 and to his Funeral Service 11:30am at the funeral home.
