It is with heavy hearts that we annonunc the passing of Joan M. Yancer "Girlie" of North Wildwood. New Jersey and formerly from Northeast Philadephia, passed way peacefully at home on Saturday 8/12/2023, at the age of 87. She was born on 02/23/1936 in Philadelphia, PA and resideed in the Fishtown area of Philadelphia. She was preceded in death by her son William, Jr. Joan Yancer will be lovingly remembered by her spouse William (Bill) Yancer, her daughter Deborah Berckman ( Bob), her 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, ans a wide circle of extend family and friends. In her free time, Joan enjoyed being with her family and friends, and she was known for her good sense of humor and outgoing personality. The legacy of Joanie will live on through her impact on family, friends and community. A memorial service will be held 11am on Saturday 8/19/2023 at the Ingersoll-Greenwood Funeral Home, 1201 Central Ave., North Wildwood, NJ where friends may call from 10 am.
