William Reginald Ries, Sr., 71, of Rio Grande passed away on Friday January 29, 2016 surrounded by his family. Bill joined the US Navy in 1963 and was honorably discharged in 1969. He was a proud member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Loyal Order of Moose organizations. He enjoyed contributing to organizations like Wounded Soldiers Project, Disabled American Veterans, Vets First, United Service Org., Salesian Missions, Salvation Army and St. Jude Children's Hospital. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law William & Tina Ries of Mays Landing, son Steven Ries of Mullica Hill, their mother Michele Ries of Mullica Hill, sister and brother-in-law Pat & Jim Flanagan of Ocean View along with his nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to funeral services 11am Saturday Feb. 6, 2016 at the Ingersoll-Greenwood Funeral Home, 1201 Central Ave., North Wildwood, NJ where friends may call from 10am at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery in Cape May Court House. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of William R.
