David M. Elsey, 75 of Villas, NJ passed away Wednesday March 20,2024 at Cooper Hospital.He was born on October 11, 1948.  He attended Philip Baker school and graduated from Wildwood High in 1967.  He started a band called Liberation in the late 1960’s.  He was a drummer at the Red Garter in Anglesea during the summer months.  He and his brother Bob created the band 2nd Time around in 1973.  In 1977 the band performed an Elvis show 4 months prior to Elvis’s death.  He continued his Elvis show for many years at local clubs, and most notably at The Grand Hotel in Wildwood Crest. Towards the end of his career, he had an Elvis Theatre in Rio Grande where he performed until his retirement.  He was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Mildred Elsey, brother Jimmy and his wife of 44 years Nancy.  He is survived by his daughter Michelle (Greg), son Michael, brother Bob, grandchildren Connor, Zachary, David, Johnathan and Lyndsey, and his partner of 11 years, Carol.  Services will be April 12, 2024 at Ingersoll-Greenwood Funeral home in North Wildwood. Friends may call from 10-11am and will be followed by a service. Burial will be private.  Condolences may be sent to ingersollgreenwoodfh.com.
