In the constellation of human virtues, my sister Althea shone like a bright star.. As big sisters go, she was my Google Maps for Wildwood's best gems. Her echo lives on inside those summer memories by which I stayed at her house while working as a lifeguard. Everyday and sometimes nights we would call each other up just to say hello and discuss the news for the day. I already miss her voice.
Rest in Peace Althea until we meet again
Love you to the moon and back. Jim

I’m so sorry for your loss. I don’t even have the words. I met Mrs Turner. Long time ago, she was my grandmother‘s best friend. I used to go to her house. She treated me like one of her own for I thank you I never had brothers and sisters of my own and her kids. I’m proud to say treated me like a brother. You are going to be missed so so much. thank you

Althea,
Where to start is hard but very easy at the same time. When I met you, I had gotten freshly married and you gave me that beautiful smile of yours. My family instantaneously adored. You had beautiful relationships with each of us but the one that will hold a beautiful place in our hearts in how you loved your "Blue eyes"
He absolutely adored you welcomed all the love you had to give.
You were definitely an original and you can never be duplicated. I remember all the lessons you taught me and stories you told from your experiences. Many were eye opening but they allowed me to see truths and I can never thank you enough for that.
All our memories of you will forever be embedded within our souls because you were a piece of us maybe not by blood but by choice.
May you receive the peace you rightfully deserve and please watch over your babies on Earth until we all see you again.

It is hard to capture the spirit of my Grandmom , as fiery and sparkling as vintage champagne. Overflowing with love, wisdom, and a dash of sass, she wore her courage like an unseen crown. Mixing kindness with unexpected hilarity. Generous as a queen’s ransom in monopoly money and just as playful. The reigning champ in selflessness, passion burning brighter than any Northern Star. All hail my Grandmom! Grandma-in-chief; the true north of her family; I promise I will continue to try to make you proud!
My heart is broken, but I know your spirit will forever be with me. You’ll be in my heart
I love you so much my queen!

Our condolences to the Turner family. We've known the Turners since we were teenagers. Every summer, our family (the Smiths) used to stay at the Elfra Court Motel next to the Turner’s house in Wildwood. At kids, we played, hung out at the pool, beach, and boardwalk. We got to know the family well and have remained close friends for over 45 years through calls, visits, texts, letters, and celebrations.
Mom Turner had a great sense of humor and was a beacon of light. She was always smiling, talking, and laughing. Last year we had the pleasure of spending a few days with her and some of her family in Wildwood for the Fourth of July. She sparkled just as much as the fireworks. Every morning, she had to go for her walk. She was a sweet soul who gave great hugs and we will miss her. Her cats will miss her too. She’s now one of God’s angels and we know she is watching over her loved ones, just as she did here. Tim, Ann, and Roland, we’re just phone call away.
We love you!
Tracey Franklin and Tim Smith

Mother Turner,
You welcomed me into your family almost twenty years ago. I admired your strength, resilience, and zest for life. You have shown me how to live your life with style, class and grace. I will miss my political junkie compadre and Broadway Show companion. Forever, I will remember your smile and dynamic personality.
Love always,
Vilma

We met Althea after everyone returned to church post Covid. My husband and I chose to sit in the last pew, and there sat Althea. The last pew got to be called "our" pew and got a big laugh if someone dared sit there before we got in. Another couple sat at the other end. We always chatted about our week, from our pasts to our family. She loved showing me pictures and I shared mine. She loved listening to the church singers and knew all the songs. She was not happy with the May Crowning songs chosen. They were not her favorite old Mary songs. I agreed! We only saw her on Sundays at 8AM mass, and worried when she wasn't there. The next week she would tell me she was with her beautiful family in Maryland, Wildwood or New York, just to name the states I remember! She started letting me know if she was not going to be there. Even after her fall, she refused being escorted to the alter for communion from the ushers. She would politely wave them off.
It was a pleasure to meet Althea, and see her smile each Sunday.
Sorry for your loss !
"OUR" pew will not be the same !
Sincerely,
Mel And Joe Weeks

Aunt Althea, you will be missed beyond measure. I am blessed that you were my Aunt! No matter when or what was needed, you were there. Family was so very important to you and we felt your love and kindness. Your smile, your advice, our numerous phone calls solving world problems, your hugs, your dancing and that look you would give me. You always made the time to show up for us!! Supporting our family. Traveling many miles to graduations, birthdays, retirements and weddings. Always making sure we knew you loved and cared for us. Having your name was always a honor for me. I hope I carry that same love and kindness you showed into the world. To the best Aunt ever! I will truly miss you Aunt Althea.

Althea was like a best friend. We shared many stories but I cherished having someone to just listen when needed . One memory I will always remember was when she visited her brother James around her birthday. We had the best time laughing and eating her birthday cake. She even for a moment danced with her brother. Althea appreciated everything larger or small she received. I will miss my phone companion who loved to talk about her family and politics. Boy did she love her political issues. Althea please rest easy until we meet again. Love you for life Althea.

Althea, a beloved soul now departed, exuded heartfelt love and exceptional kindness. Her friendly demeanor and thoughtfulness were boundless like the sea. A memory that resonates profoundly is from 2019 when we baked a cake together, her generosity was evident in sharing such special times with me. Those cherished memories serve as gentle reminders of Althea's harmonious spirit that will continue to inspire us all in our path forward.

My deepest condolences Ann &Family for the loss of your beautiful mother. I only had the privilege of meeting her a few times but one time her love and generosity shown through like a light from above. Our children were Girl Scouts and we were camping at Wildwood beach for the famous scout Beach Jam. That evening a horrible thunderstorm rolled through and soaked us all, destroyed some tents, and made us all miserable. At 1am, Ann packed us all up and took us to her mother’s house where we camped out on her living floor. What started out as a nightmare of a situation with 8-10 girls was saved by this wonderful woman who opened her home and heart to these girls and their scout leaders. I will forever be grateful to her for that night. May she rest now in internal peace.
