Obituary of Grover Ross Bradshaw
Bradshaw, Grover Ross (August 10, 1957), the man whose talent and voice unforgettably touched so many, went into the loving arms of God on September 10th. Peacefully and with such grace, Grover returned to God’s heart and is reunited with his beloved wife of 41 years, Lori, and his parents, Grover and Doris Bradshaw.
A remarkable, one-of-a-kind man with an exceptional voice and a larger-than-life personality, Grover breathed life into every room he entered. Like Auntie Mame, Grover took the proverbial “blues right out of the horn,” and with his unsurpassable charm and humor, He brought joy to friends and strangers alike. With Lori’s inspiration and direction, Grover joined Lori in the entertainment business. As "Heart to Heart," they played nearly every venue in Cape May County for over 35 years, captivating audiences with their unique colorful style. Even after they retired “Heart to Heart,” Grover and Lori continued to light up every restaurant and bar, often spontaneously taking the mic and upstaging the restaurant’s performer.
Grover’s roots in North Wildwood run deep. Raised on the corner of 10th and Atlantic, Grover and Lori returned to his family’s property after they were married. He retired from Margaret Mace School after 32 years, where he developed lasting friendships that have endured throughout his life. An amazing father and dedicated husband, Grover was unwavering in his love and commitment to his family. He was equally devoted to North Wildwood Methodist Church and to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, playing the organ and belting out hymns like no other.
Grover is survived by his children, Justin and Ashley, his sister Barbara Mattera (Michael), nephews, Tom Lanier (Ranee), Raymond Caramanna and Jeffrey Mattera (Angela) and nieces, Cindy Caramanna and Jessica Mattera and several great-nieces and nephews and the famous, Spencer, the cat.
