Mary Lou was born on November 22, 1954 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and grew up in the Kensington section of the city. She was the only child of Lewis C. and Anna May (Foley) Storti. She attended Little Flower High School and graduated in 1972.  She worked as a medical assistant, she taught phlebotomy, and earned her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Immaculata University. Recently retired, Mary Lou worked as a Registered Nurse in several facilities in Philadelphia and in the New Jersey Shore Area. She was well loved by her coworkers and patients that she cared for.

Mary Lou loved life and enjoyed every minute of it with her family and friends. It was her dream to move “down the shore” and she fulfilled this dream in 2013 when she purchased her home in Garden Lake where she formed many close relationships with her neighbors. She enjoyed the beach and the boardwalk and was the life of the party during every gathering. Mary Lou enjoyed shopping, and you could often find her at the outlets, flea markets, and thrift stores. She was caring and always willing to volunteer. Marylou belonged to many organizations. She was a proud member of the ELKS, the MOOSE, the Veteran’s Society, Knights of Columbus, the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, and several others. She was a supporter of the ASPCA and St. Jude’s Hospital.

Mary Lou was proud of her Irish heritage and loved to celebrate all things related to this. She was an Irish Dancer and was able to travel to Ireland twice in recent years.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents Lewis C and Anna May (Foley) Storti, and her beloved husband, William (Stoney) Livingstone. She is survived by her aunt, Rosemarie (Storti) Garoppo of Florida, several cousins, nieces and nephews, her beloved and faithful dog, Rudy, and many many friends who love and will miss her tremendously.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital at stjude.org or the American Society for the Prevention of the Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) at aspca.org. Mary Lou’s family would like to express their gratitude to everyone for their support and expressions of sympathy during this time.
