Ronald Arthur Bove Jr. Obituary

Ronald A. Bove, Jr. of North Wildwood passed on Monday, November 4 th surrounded by his family.


Ron was born on July 28 th , 1969, to Joan Vitacolonna (nee Toppan) and Ronald A. Bove, Sr. in Upper Darby,


Pennsylvania. Ron attended the University of Maryland where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha


fraternity. He left college to join the Prince George’s police department where he attained the rank of


sergeant. Ron spent many years in Key West, Florida before making his home in North Wildwood, New


Jersey. While living in New Jersey, he worked for the Delaware River and Bay Authority until his


retirement this past summer.


Ron never met a person who didn’t become a friend. He was very kind and generous to everyone. Ron


lived his life the way he intended. Ron was an active member of the Moose Lodge #585, and a


consistent supporter of the ASPCA and St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.


Ron is survived by his ‘bad dog’ Ollie, his wife, Kathleen, his mother, his two sisters – Sheri Lazarus and


Christina Harron; and his two nephews – Toppan Lazarus and Ethan Bove, and his niece – Alyssa Lazarus.


He also leaves behind many special friends and family.


Ron was preceded in death by stepfather, Italo ‘Ike’ Vitacolonna, his father and his grandparents,


William Toppan and Katherine Toppan.
