Obituary

     Elma Lou Paynter (nee) Shropshire 84, of Tuckahoe, NJ passed away peacefully at Autumn Lake Healthcare in Ocean View on November 23, 2024.  She was born in Bridgeton, NJ and raised in Tuckahoe, NJ.  She is the daughter of the late William Miller Shropshire and Mary Jane (nee) Hoffman.

     Elma Lou is survived by her children, Joseph William Paynter III of Petersburg NJ, Thomas William Paynter Sr of Millville NJ, Elma Lou Dilks of Tuckahoe NJ, and Mary Jo Grundlock of Ocean View, NJ. 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph William Paynter Jr. of Grassy Sound, NJ and son Jack Paynter of Estell Manor, NJ.  Also predeceased by brothers, William Shropshire, James Shropshire, Charles Shropshire and sister Mary Leah Ware.
