Mike was one of my dearest friends. He was my assistant Academic Chief at the old Food Service School. We would laugh each time he made a set of dog tags on our antique machine. Later in years after our military retirements I had a second opportunity to work with him in Civil Service. One of my favorite awards which he personally presented to me is the MICHAEL J. LEEPER AWARD which I received for physical fitness. I keep it with all of my military awards and view it occasionally with fond memories of my friend. Semper Fi Fred Gentry
