We just now learned that Wilbur passed away and certainly would have attended the funeral. However, we were away in Canada during that time and did not actually learn about Wilbur passing away until yesterday.
Our sincere condolences and remember all your good times to get you through the tough times.

My memories of Wilbur will always be his visits to the NWFD while I worked there. He added kindess, laughter and joy to those occasional visits and I'll always remember him.

Wilbur was a welcome member of the Ono clan! He and my father, Frank, spent much time doing what they both loved.... an unending passion for fishing. I was fortunate to be able to participate on a number of their fishing excursions including epic travels to Alaska and New Mexico. He was like a younger brother to my father. Always there to lend a helping hand. Their constant needling each other made for great comedy! He will be sorely missed by our entire family. He and my Dad are back fishing again.....

I knew Will my one memory that I always remember to this day is when he and my grandfather Frank Ono went to my High school Riverview School and Will had brought me a huge box of chocolate chip cookies. Wilbur was a great influence and guide for me early in my career with the Wildwood PD. After I was married I found out that my wife's grandfather, Norm MacConnell and Wilbur were old time fishing buddies, which made our relationship even closer. Many memorable fishing trips with Wilbur and Uncle Frank. Like being on the set filming Grumpy Old Men. Thanks for sharing a great man of faith, Arlene. We had many discussions on not only how to be fishers of a variety of fish but fishers of men as well. He always spoke of you with strong tones of love and respect. Our family already misses him and I know our daughter Lauren is at the Throne serving the Lord with him. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
