William Murr Keene 83, of Rio Grande, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024. A loving son, Veteran, Firefighter, Husband, Best Father Ever, and #1 Pop-Pop, who enjoyed watching his four grandsons grow up. A man who lived a full life with kindness and love
. Known for Keene’s Kitchen in North Cape May which he operated for over 30 years, plus Keene’s Koffee Shop at the Cape May County Airport. Upon retiring in 2000, he worked on the Cape May Lewis Ferries and lastly as a “Ranger” at Sun Retreats Campground in Erma – both where he met and worked with cherished friends.
He will be forever missed by his loving wife Laura, daughter Ashley Franchini (John), beloved grandsons Johnny, Dante, Bobby and Roman; sister Dottie Farrell plus many dear nieces and nephews. His message to all: “I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore, that I can show to any human being Let me do it now, Let me not defer or neglect it, For I shall not pass this way again.”Anonymous Rest in Peace Billy, re-uniting with your siblings Donald, Bud and Patsy.
.Visitation Wednesday, April 17 from 7:00-9:00 pm, Ingersoll Greenwood Funeral Home,1201 Central Ave, North Wildwood Burial with full" Military Honors " in Cape May County Veterans’ Memorial Park and Cemetery, Cape May Court House; Thursday April 18 at Noon. Please meet in the Chapel and we will then proceed to the burial site.
