Obituary of Rose Marie Anderson

Rose Marie Anderson, 92, of Rio Grande, NJ, passed away March 10, 2016. Born in Glassboro, NJ to the late Michael and Cecilia ( Falcone ) Riggins. Rose was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Anderson in 2008 after 68 years of marriage. They had resided in Wildwood, NJ when first married and retired to Rio Grande, NJ. Rose enjoyed working in Cape May County as a seamstress and housekeeper. When illness and age took toll on Raymond and Rose they moved to Cape May Court House, NJ and were living with and cared for by their daughter, Rose Marie Dempsey ( Bunny ) and husband, Robert. Rose also had a son, Raymond Anderson and wife, Peggy of Cape May Court Hose, NJ, Rose had numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren . Many nieces , nephews and in laws due to the Anderson’s and Riggins families. Rose was compassionate , respected, adored, trusted and loved. She brought joy to the lives of everyone around her. Her pleasures in life also were working, friends, having company, cooking Italian dishes and baking. She was willing to give or do for anyone who was in need. A person who gave from her heart. She loved the one arm bandit, bingo scratch offs, lottery, traveling and visiting families and friends. Rose will be fondly remembered and profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of loving, knowing and caring for her. The past several years of battling Dementia , Alzheimer’s and Parkinson Disease. She was unable to continue the fight. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 18, 2016, at the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, where she will be put to rest at the side of her husband. .
